Looking right here, the skillet on the left has three rivets close together, which is not good. It has a handle that you can't really put in the oven because it's coated in something and that's not good, right?
And then the one on the right, it is actually a nice pan. They did a good job on it, but it's very expensive, right?
And then this particular pan I have used, the handle is absolutely atrocious. Yeah, it's- it's terrible. They don't even chamfer the edges on it. So it's not good. but it is cheap. This one again, it's like the pan itself looks pretty good, but the handle stainless and I'm not even sure what's on it.
I can't even tell there's some kind of, yeah, so it's got like a plastic kind of rubber silicone handle thing on it. Again, it's not a classic pan. This is not something you're ever going to hand down to anybody. It's just, it's going to be in your kitchen hanging up. It doesn't seem like a very special thing.
So the Mineral B Pro it's actually got a nice handle on it, and it's got spaced apart rivets. So those are good things. So that's actually that's a pretty nice pan.But it's not really a classic pan because you got a stainless handle and a carbon steel body.
It doesn't have any micro texturing. It's not coming pre seasoned or anything like that. But the handle itself at least is shaped well.
The next one, this little farmhouse skillet, this is actually one of the better pans that I've seen. The issue to me with this it's expensive. This is very simple, but they actually did a good job. It's got a carbon steel handle. It's got a nice pan shape. The only negative here is it is quite a bit more expensive than our equivalent, right? So our equivalent to this is $129. And it looks really nice.
And yeah, let's just scroll on across. This is fun.
Okay, this one, that's a wok. It's got a stainless handle and three rivets close together. That's a fail. But it is a wok. We aren't making woks yet. So I can't say much.
Yeah so this Matfer pan, they're spot welded. Personally, I would never buy a spot welded pan. I don't care if it makes it with no rivets. I love rivets. That's like a no go for me.
So you see, there's actually very few well made skillets on the market. I think we are like way ahead of the game here because we've got reasonable prices, but we have classic handmade cookware.
These to me are perfect because we've got a nice pan. We microtexture it. We season it. You've got a handle that fits your hand. It doesn't have sharp points.
And you have our stamps in the bottom of it and that we hand stamp, with our fly presses.I love seeing our own work because I think we did it so well.
That was always my goal, was to make pans better than the French pans that were on the market. We've done that.
These are close to their price, and they're much better. And I'm really happy with what we have.
